Are you passionate about Space and science and want to make a difference? We invite you to register for the NASA Space Apps Challenge Romania, the largest international hackathon.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccd The event will take place on the weekend of October 7-8 in five cities in Romania (offline in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca and online in Timisoara, Iasi, and Oradea), as well as in hundreds of cities worldwide.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcab The NASA International Space Apps Challenge is a hackathon for coding enthusiasts, scientists, designers, storytellers, tech professionals, innovators, and everyone else. You don’t have to be a programmer to participate! Everyone is welcome! At NASA, some challenges are technical, while others require you to use your artistic talents, business knowledge, and imagination!<\/p>\n

The event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

You will work in teams throughout the weekend to develop an innovative solution for the chosen challenge (whether it’s a website, a mobile app, a concept, or a hardware prototype). You can see here<\/strong><\/a> the 31 challenges for this year.<\/p>\n

Together, we can find solutions to the biggest challenges on Earth and in Space alongside NASA and its partners.<\/p>\n

You can register in any city, even if you don’t live there.<\/p>\n

The mission of the NASA Space Apps Challenge<\/strong> is to stimulate collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, to encourage interest in exploring Earth and space, to increase global awareness of NASA’s data, and to develop the next generation of scientists, engineers, technology specialists, and designers. During the hackathon, teams from cities worldwide use NASA’s (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) public data and data from its space agency partners to address real-world issues on Earth and in space over 48 hours.<\/p>\n

The program involves thousands of people worldwide, including programmers, scientists, designers, storytellers, creators, builders, and technology specialists. Since its launch in 2012, the NASA Space Apps Challenge has attracted over 220,000 participants from more than 185 countries and territories.<\/p>\n

Regarding the Romanian edition, two winning teams will be selected from each of the five cities in Romania to participate in the global competition, where they will compete with over 3,000 teams worldwide.<\/p>\n

Misiunea NASA Space Apps<\/strong> Challenge este de a stimula colaborarea, creativitatea \u0219i g\u00e2ndirea critic\u0103, de a \u00een-curaja interesului pentru explorarea P\u0103m\u00e2ntului \u0219i a spa\u021biului, de a cre\u0219tere gradul de con\u0219tientizare la nivel global a datelor NASA \u0219i de a dezvolta urm\u0103toarea genera\u021bie de oameni de \u0219tiin\u021b\u0103, ingineri, speciali\u0219ti \u00een tehnologie \u0219i designeri. \u00cen timpul hackathonului, echipe din ora\u0219e din \u00eentreaga lume utilizeaz\u0103 timp de 48 de ore datele publice ale NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) \u0219i ale partenerilor s\u0103i din agen\u021biile spa\u021biale pentru a aborda probleme din lumea real\u0103 de pe P\u0103m\u00e2nt \u0219i \u00een spa\u021biu.<\/p>

Programul coopteaz\u0103 mii de oameni din \u00eentreaga lume, printre ace\u0219tia num\u0103r\u00e2ndu-se programatori, oameni de \u0219tiin\u021b\u0103, designeri, povestitori, creatori, constructori, speciali\u0219ti \u00een tehnologie. De la lansare, \u00een anul 2012, NASA Space Apps Challenge a atras peste 220.000 de oameni din peste 185 de \u021b\u0103ri \u0219i teritorii. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>

\u00cen ceea ce prive\u0219te edi\u021bia din Rom\u00e2nia, din fiecare dintre cele cinci ora\u0219e din Rom\u00e2nia vor fi alese dou\u0103 echipe c\u00e2\u0219tig\u0103toare care vor participa \u00een competi\u021bia global\u0103 unde vor concura cu peste 3.000 de echipe din \u00eentreaga lume.<\/p>
