🚀 NASA Space Apps Challenge returns to Romania!

Bucharest & Cluj-Napoca | October 4-5, 2025

The world’s largest hackathon – NASA Space Apps Challenge – opens its doors to science, technology, sustainability and innovation enthusiasts! The event takes place simultaneously in hundreds of cities around the world, and Romania hosts the 8th edition in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

Why is it special?

It is a unique international experience, with thousands of teams working in parallel on all continents.
Participants have the opportunity to join a top community and meet exceptional mentors, partners and specialists.
It provides access to NASA public data and real-world challenges about Earth and space.
It encourages collaboration, creativity and leadership.
The winning teams at a global level are invited to a NASA center or facility!

What happens at the hackathon?

⏱ For 48 hours, participants form teams and create solutions to NASA challenges: climate change, agriculture, mobility, space exploration and more. They are assisted by mentors and evaluated by extraordinary jurors, from the business, technology and beyond.

Who can participate?

Programmers, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, designers, storytelling specialists, professionals, students or simply passionate about Space and solutions for a healthier and better Planet.

In Romania, the hackathon is organized by DiFine PR, ROTSA and ClujHub, with the support of NASA and partner space agencies internationally.
